SCG, a Thai-owned Southeast Asian conglomerate, reported revenue from sales of more than VND30.96 trillion (US$1.34 billion) from its Viet Nam operations in 2018, up 20 per cent year-on-year.
The revenue mainly came from chemicals business, the company said, adding that over the past nine months, its revenue from sales in Viet Nam stood at VND22.65 trillion ($989 million).
Viet Nam’s total revenue from retail sales and services in the first nine months of this year is estimated at nearly VND3.24 quadrillion (US$138.64 billion), up 11.3 per cent year-on-year, according the General Statistics Office (GSO).
